Starting my new journey in User Experience Design

7 Feb

2015’s new journey begins with my awesome classes at the General Assembly Chicago. I had long been thinking about studying user experience design, and when I finally had the courage to quite my old job and think about my future, I decided to take courses on this subject.

Now I’m about four weeks into this class and am totally enjoying my time with it. My interest originally lies in discovering the idea of user experience design, and now it shifts to how to master the craft of understanding the design process.

I am still studying web design on the side as well. I had learnt a little bit of CSS and html in the past, but lynda.com has allowed me to systematically build my toolbox step by step. I do recommend James Williamson’s class, he had listed out a fabulous syllabus and sources for anyone who wants to become a web designer.

Currently I have about several projects I plan to work on and will sure to keep updating them on my blog. 2015 is a big year for me.
